Like the others on this page, the head is made from marine epoxy and strips of cotton bedsheet over clay.

His head has been sawn apart, the clay removed and the halves glued back together. The working mouth is made by sawing it out and devising a pivot on each side. It is held closed with elastic strung to glued-in hooks. The brown stuff is a thickener that you mix with the epoxy.
